There are amazing realms of aquatic macroinvertebrates out there for you to explore and the items contained in this kit are meant to help facilitate your exploration of these fascinating underwater worlds that exist in every moderately healthy burbling creek and stream on the planet.

Feel free to use the tools and resources in the kit to explore however you want (ponds can be fun to explore too!), but the small bound instruction manual for the Water Quality Report Card can help guide you along the way and it will introduce you to how an exploration of these tiny organisms living under rocks in streams can help you assess water quality in your favorite shallow, flowing, rocky-bottomed body of water.

Make sure all of the contents are fully air-dried before closing the lid and keep books away from moisture. Please check the Content list to make sure that all items are present when you return it to the toy library.

This creek exploration kit was donated by the Community Science Institute supported by the following organizations: Learning Ecosystems Northeast, Park Foundation and CSI's Tapan Mitra Environmental Education Fund.
